My little brother stares at me, as if I'm going delusional. Uhh, will you PLEASE stop that? It's embarrassing.. I slowly blush. "Balloon, please." He sighs.
"Sorry. I just don't understand what you mean by that." We're LOST. Just look down. {groan} "..Did you have another dream about the sky?"
{gasp} His face reddens. "Um, maybe..?" ..Of course you did. {chuckle} "Aww, you're all red little brother.." {grunt} "Wh-Whatever. My point is that I did NOT dream about skies." ..Right.
I squint at him. "..Okay then. What was your dream?" Balloon smiles, relieved. "..A peaceful world, with no harm. That's it, really." ..Oh.
He happily looks at me. "..What about you, R? What was your dream?" ..I don't want to answer that. {heavy sigh} "..I didn't dream last night. Or the night before." ..I did though, I'm just too afraid to tell you..
{facepalm} "Are you serious?! You didn't even DREAM last night? Wow..I thought you were dedicated to those kinds of things, Rose.." ..I STILL AM. AND I ALWAYS WILL BE.
I sit near the edge of the large cloud. {choking} HOLD BACK THE TEARS. JUST HOLD THEM BACK. "Huh..?!" {sniffle} "Rose, are you..CRYING?" No, of course not.
"N-No, I'm fine. But thanks for your concern--WH-WHA..?!" Balloon gives me a hug, sitting beside me. "..You don't have to hide it from me. So why do you keep doing it, Sis?" ..I don't really know.
"..I can't help it..okay? I just can't." He wraps an arm around me. "..You tell me the same thing too. You always listen to me and give me hope to hang in there. I want to return the favor." ..I..I just..I can't..
I hold Balloon in my arms, tears trickling down even faster. "..Just remember: Dreams only come true if you let them." {happy sigh}
"Thanks Rose. You're the best." You are too, my sweet little brother. "You too Balloon. I hope you have another lovely dream real soon.."
